Shocking Exciting Move As D’Banj ‘Dumps’ Entertainment Industry, For Football
In what seemed like a surprise to many, Nigeria’s music legend, Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo, aka
D’Banj, dumped the stage for the football pitch, where he faced former Nigerian International, Victor Ikpeba.
The music star featured at the Copa Lagos 2016, playing against former African footballer, Ikpeba.
The tournament which was meant to be a contest, resulted in an exciting display at the Eko Atlantic, venue of the competition, when the music star, as well as the 1997 African footballer of the year, graced the pitch.
Team Ikpeba which was composed of ex-internationals, including Mutiu Adepoju, Ifeanyi Udeze, Victor Agali, goalkeeper Alloy Agu, and former Shooting Stars legend, Akanni, won the tie by 2 – 1.
Adepoju, opened the scoring against Team D’Banj.
Although, team D’Banj leveled up moments later, goalkeeper Agu, sealed the win for Team Ikpeba, with a powerful shot from goal.
Meanwhile, Pepsi Football Academy beach team, defeated the Enyimba beach soccer team, by 6 – 5, in the opening match of the day.
Also on the stand to grace the day, was the Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, who obviously enjoyed the whole encounter.
